Okno Modhomes has completed a serene sanctuary with a mirrored façade in Chikmangalur, Karnataka, India. Named Reflections, the 300 square feet (28 square meters) holiday home is situated in the heart of nature, where the murmurs of the forest blend with the songs of birds.
This contemporary retreat is intended to be a place where people and the natural world live in perfect harmony. Tucked away under a thick canopy of both newly planted and old trees, Reflections is the perfect example of well-thought-out, sustainable architecture. Reflections welcomes the morning sun like a delicate bloom, with its back to the serene east. In order to preserve the integrity of the natural landscape, the design aims to have as little of an impact as possible in the environment.
